Olympia Zine Fest Organizers
Naomi lives in the damp and wonderfully overcast Pacific Northwest where she likes to create things and take notes. She made a zine on accident in 2007 and has been carrying on ever since. When it comes down to it, all she wants to do is dance. Arbitrary attempts at communication can be directed to: email@example.com
Alyssa Giannini is a mover, a shaker and a zine maker. They have been putting out DIY guides and perzines under the banner of Craft or DIY since 2011. When they’re not tediously binding zines, they can generally be found tending to their plants, laughing at their own jokes, or behind the lens of a camera at the matinee punk gig.
Nicki is a community media devotee with roots to the east and west of the Cascade Mountains. Along with the Olympia Zine Fest, some things that make Nicki happy include freeform radio, people’s history, accordions, bumble bees, and tiny muffins.
Kelsey Smith is a librarian, letterpress printer, zine creator, mother, and East coast transplant residing in Olympia, Washington. She believes in animals, constructive activism and community organizing, the all ages movement, and coffee. Kelsey founded the zine collection at the Olympia Timberland Library, which is now over 1,500 zines strong and growing.
Kelsey updates her press page sporadically with new zines and other letterpress detritus: http://hortensepress.tumblr.com
Agatha Burstein likes helping, learning, and being a huge fan of amazing people (like the other OZF organizers)! She is mostly upset about the state of the world but draws some semblance of hope from her friends, libraries, cats, and zine world.
Melanie Shelton is Olympia’s own Bearded Lady who can now be found teaching & sharing her passion for baking at SPSCC. Melanie is forever excited about all the things! Especially paper crafts, googly eyes and doing it your damn self.
