Olympia Zine Fest Organizers

Agatha Burstein likes helping, learning, and being a huge fan of amazing people (like the other OZF organizers)! They are mostly upset about the state of the world but draw some semblance of hope from their friends, libraries, cats, and zine world.

Kelsey Smith is a librarian, letterpress printer, zine creator, mother, and East coast transplant residing in Olympia, Washington. She believes in animals, constructive activism and community organizing, the all ages movement, and coffee. Kelsey founded the zine collection at the Olympia Timberland Library, which is now over 1,500 zines strong and growing.
Kelsey updates her press page sporadically with new zines and other letterpress detritus: hortensepress.tumblr.com

Melanie Shelton is Olympia’s own Bearded Lady who can now be found teaching & sharing her passion for baking at SPSCC. Melanie is forever excited about all the things! Especially paper crafts, googly eyes and doing it your damn self.

Nicki is a community media devotee with roots to the east and west of the Cascade Mountains. Along with the Olympia Zine Fest, some things that make Nicki happy include freeform radio, people’s history, accordions, bumble bees, and tiny muffins.

Summer loves all things paper related and can’t get enough vintage office supplies. While she has never made a zine, she is looking to change that this year. She loves to sing, bake and organize. This virgo is a true fit for this year’s OZF Staff.
